Patient presentation and plan: Applying of compression with fluffy gauze following drain removal to avoid larger seroma formation.


Before and after

Step 1: Place sufficient Fluffy correctly
Place fluffy Duffy on incision spot
- Fluffy is non compressed sterile cotton swabs, that both give a slight compression and protection og the area and absorbes secretion.
- Make sure the area is clean and make sure there are no signs of infektion.

Step 2: Mefix tape
Use mefix to position and hold the fluffy duffy
- Mefix tape is self-adhesive fabric, that can be stretch and thereby make it easier to fixate bandages in uneven areas of the body

Step 3: Use Sufficient tape
Be sure to apply enough tape
- Use sufficient tape, so that the bandage does not get loose as the patient moves. It is a good idea to fixate an area of 10-15 cm around the fluffy
